How long in advance should I start thinking about my assignee's mobility?

There are several factors to consider: a non-EU assignee will need 5 - 6 months of immigration preparation before travelling to Belgium. An assignee bringing children will need ample time to research and reserve childcare, or schooling options.

Is the immigration procedure and timing the same in all 3 regions of Belgium?

The immigration procedure and timing can vary slightly between the three regions of Belgium: Flanders, Wallonia, and Brussels-Capital Region. Each region may have its own specific requirements and processing times for immigration procedures.
